Tanaka Tadashi - Hiro's older brother...

Volks SD13 Tony is absolutely perfect for the character I want him to play. He is my Kazuhiro's lost brother, Tadashi, who has finally found his way back. I never planned for Tadashi to come to life. In fact, I had planned for him to be a tragic character and for him to remain dead. But... I guess he had other plans...

Tadashi Tanaka has had a very difficult life. Now that he has rejoined his brother, he is hoping things will get better, and that they will be able to live as a family together. But at first, Hiro did not cooperate. He was confused about why Tadashi would leave him alone in the world, since he was still alive and able to come back.

Tadashi and Hiro lost their parents when Tadashi was only seven years old. Even though as they grew older Hiro would ask what happened to their parents, Tadashi was never able to tell his brother how they died. He and Hiro were put into separate foster houses, and only saw each other at school. There was a strange connection between them. Somehow, in the school hallways, they each knew when the other was near, even if they could not see each other. They both knew of it, but never spoke of it, and they credit their connection only to the fact that they are brothers, not to any supernatural or spiritual bond. Tadashi would sneak out of his foster house whenever he could to go visit Hiro, and they spent as much time together as possible, which was not often. Tadashi would not speak of his home life to his brother, but he did mention that he was rarely able to sleep.

When Tadashi was fourteen, he coaxed Hiro to run away with him, and they lived on the streets together for two years, with Tadashi being Hiro's only true shelter... until one day, Tadashi disappeared and did not return. Hiro, heartbroken and confused, did as they had always agreed he should do if something happened to his older brother... he turned himself in to a teen homeless shelter so he would not have to live on the streets alone.

When Tadashi finally returned after three long years, Hiro was shocked at first, and then angry -- after all, if Tadashi was alive, why didn't he come back? There are still many stories to be told about Tadashi's past... but the brothers have reconciled, and Hiro is surprisingly patient and willing to wait for Tadashi to explain everything about why he was away for so long.
